Replacing your front bumper

Postby PatrickTT » Sun Feb 17, 2013 4:01 pm

Okay so this refers to a Fairlane but probably similar on the other models.

First, use an 8mm socket and remove the headlights - indicators are attached to the headlights so you just have to remove 4 bolts in each. (2 on top, one behind and one on the side)

Next, you will see two brackets with two bolts in each. Remove these bolts and unplug the horn, then pull the bumper towards you and it will slide off.

Slide the new bumper on and tighten the 4 bolts. Replace the headlights and as if by magic, your car will make you look like a bogan :)

:thanks:

Thanks for sharing, that's great Patrick.

BTW, are you aware that your new bumper doesn't match the rest of the car? :-s

Just sayin'
